| This watercolor was the result of a trip to the South of France where we stopped at an outdoor Farmer’s Market where one could buy just about anything. I loved the colors of the endless varieties of olives and painted each olive individually, almost making this a cross between a landscape painting and a still life. There is a tremendous amount of minute detail in Olive the Selection making it my favorite watercolor. If you look carefully at the painting you will notice that there is even a selection of wine bottles lined up in the background, which exemplifies my usual painting style.
